JIM SKELTON

Jim Skelton began making knives at the end of 2016, and by early 2018, he was invited into the prestigious Knifemaker’s Guild, where he became a voting member in 2020.

The Tibia was Jim’s second attempt at designing an EDC knife and it soon became very popular. By the time Jim retired the model, it was one of the most popular models he made. The Tibia was also the second design that crossed over into the production world when Jim collaborated with Reate Knives on a limited run of the fixed blade.

In its original handmade custom iteration (as a daily carry small fixed blade) the goal was to offer a full performance blade with no compromises in a compact size. Instead of the blade being small, the handle was. With an extension by way of knotted lanyard, you had a knife with a tiny overall footprint but a full sized aggressively designed blade. The flipper is everything the custom Tibia was but with a larger handle, making it more balanced and easier to use. Even the detail of the off-the-edge fuller with speed holes is carried over into this wild folder.
